University of Ghana commends Presbyterian University College, Ghana

The University of Ghana, Legon, has commended the Presbyterian University College,Ghana for pursuing high standards in the academic delivery system of the country.

“The current University of Ghana Academic Audit at the Presbyterian University College, Ghana demonstrates that it is following all the prescribed structures and institutions in accordance with the agreement enshrined in the affiliation,” Professor Kofi Agyekum disclosed this at the 12thCongregation Ceremony of PUCG held recently.

The University of Ghana, Legon, is one of the three public universities that the PUCG affiliates to for mentorship. The others are Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and the University of Cape Coast.

Prof. Kofi Agyekum who represented the Vice Chancellor at the Congregation said the University of Ghana has monitored the studies of the graduands and they “feltvery bold, comfortable and very pleased to confer degrees and give certificates to the young men and women because they deserved it.”

According to Prof. Agyekum, the University of Ghana acknowledges with pride the speedy progress of PUCG over the past 15 years and will through their affiliation explore other linkages for the mutual benefit of the two institutions.

Advice to the Graduands

Prof. Kofi Agyekum admonished the graduating students to demonstrate high standards of performance, excellence, commitment, hard-work, integrity, discipline and Godly leadership.

“Let society see you as great people with great ideas who will only do great things in your great corners to uplift the image of your University and our country Ghana”, he said.

Here minded the graduands that “the world is now a global village and also dominated by materialism and social media that can easily sway you into corruption, dishonesty, unpatriotic behavior and love for money.”

“In all these tempting situations, remember your Presbyterian training, and remember the motto your great University which states Discipline in Leadership”, he added.
