Ms. Akpobome Enohor Sandra, a former student of the Department of Nursing of the Faculty of Health and Medical Science, Asante Akyem Campus of the Presbyterian University College, Ghana (PUCG) has been awarded by the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG).
Ms. Sandra Enohor received the award from the General Assembly of PCG for her sterling performance in the 2015 Registered General Nursing (RGM) Licensure Examination by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana where she was adjudged the Overall Best Candidate (Written).
Ms. Akpobome Enohor Sandra, an International Student from Nigeria was decorated with the Dr. Mary Opare Award which is the highest award of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana to the Overall Best Candidate.
The Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana commended for her achievement and wished her God’s blessings and success in her future endeavours.
Presenting the award to Ms. Akpobome Enohor Sandra, the President of Presbyterian University College, Ghana, Rev. Professor Emmanuel Adow Obeng congratulated her for raising high the flag of the University.
The President implored the students to emulate Ms. Sandra Enohor’s resilience and hard-work assuring them that they can also attain such heights and keep PUCG in polar position as one of the best Universities in Ghana if they remain disciplined.

Ms. Sandra Enohor’s obtained Distinctions in six (6) Courses of the 2015 Licensure Examination namely: Medicine and Medical Nursing, Mental Health/Psychiatric Nursing, Obstetric Nursing, Paediatric Nursing, Public Health Nursing, as well as Surgery and Surgical Nursing.
Responding to the award from the General Assembly of PCG, Ms. Sandra Enohor expressed her delight for the two awards and said she was overwhelmed by Presbyterian Church of Ghana’s recognition of her performance considering the stature of the Church.
Ms. Akpobome Enohor Sandra received scholarship from the Delta State Government, Nigeria for her six years secondary school education also because of her academic exploits.
She was of so much praise for the University for not focusing on only the academic life of the College, but also inculcating Godly values into their students. She believes that has earned the University its enviable record of academic excellence and well nurtured students who stand tall among their peers wherever they find themselves.
She admonished her colleague international students to recognize their different backgrounds wherever they go and only imbibe the good things the find and not the bad behaviours they find in their social environment.
Ms. Akpobome Enohor Sandra, a dedicated Catholic acknowledged God in her academic achievements saying “I always attach God to everything I do because I always want to be at the top”.
Ms. Sandra Enohor who lost her father some years ago was so grateful to her mother Chief Mrs. Veronica Akpobome for her immense support for which reason she has made all these achievements.
She thanked the Management of PUCG, Faculty, Administrative Staff and colleague students for their support that made her achieve great success in Ghana.
