Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Adow Obeng Ends Service at PUCG

The Second President of Presbyterian University College, Ghana (PUCG), Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Adow Obeng has ended his meritorious service to the University at a colourful Church Service held in his honour by the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG) and the PUCG.

The event was held on 28th November, 2021 at the Ramseyer Congregation of the PCG, Abetifi Kwahu.

The astute Theologian and Educationist was appointed by the University Council in December 2014. He took over from Prof. Kofi Sraku-Lartey, the first President of PUCG who served from 2003 when the University was established to the year 2014.

Rev. Prof. Adow Obeng served the University well. During his tenure the two-storey lecture block and the modern skills laboratory for the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences at the Asante Akyem Campus were completed.

The running of Graduate programmes at the University is credited to his tenure. The Faculty of Law as well as the Departments of Computer Engineering and Midwifery were also established under his leadership.

The Presbyterian Church of Ghana, the University Council, the Management and Staff of PUCG, and the PUCG Community express gratitude to him for his dedicated service to the University.

Prof. Ebenezer Oduro Owusu takes over from Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Adow Obeng upon his appointment by the University Council effective 1st December, 2021.
