The Alumni working in the Presbyterian University College, Ghana (PUCG) has presented 80 boxes of bottled water in support of the 12th Congregation Ceremony scheduled for 3rd November, 2018.
Presenting the items to Management, Convener of the group, Mr. Samuel Nii Odoi Devine said the group desires to give back to the University because it recognizes the value the University has added to their lives.
He indicated that the gesture was a token of appreciation to the University and also as a support in welcoming graduands to the Alumni. “It is the hope of the group that these graduands will come back in future to support the University in the same vain” he added.
Receiving the items, the President, Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Adow Obeng expressed gratitude to the group for the kind gesture.
“Water is life, and if someone is giving you water it is an indication that the person wants your wellbeing. This shows commitment and dedication. That alone speaks volume about the potential of the PUCG Alumni”, the President added.
The Rev. Prof. Adow Obeng further stated that alumni has a lot of influence on the progress of the University noting that a supportive alumni helps shape the progress of a University.
He appealed for support and feedback from alumni to enable the University respond appropriately to its obligations and marshal resources towards the good of the University.
This is the second time the group is donating towards activities of the University. In 2017, it donated same boxes of bottled water and scroll tubes in support of the 11thCongregation Ceremony.
