Presbyterian University Tops 2019 PUSAG Games

The Presbyterian University College, Ghana (PUCG) was adjudged Best Athletics Institution at the 2019 Private Universities Students Association of Ghana (PUSAG) Games held at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium from 24th to 28th March, 2019.

The PUCG won seven trophies and over 30 medals from all the events the University participated. Team PUCG won gold medals in Volleyball, 100 metres, 400 metres, 200 metres, 4×100 metres, 4×400 metres, 400 metres and 1500 metres events.

The seven trophies were from the following events: Handball (Male and Female), Volleyball (Male and Female), Table Tennis (Male and Female) and Best Institution in Athletics.

The Coach of Team PUCG, Mr. James Bonn, who doubles as Lecturer in the School of Business and Economics expressed appreciation to the University Management for its support which produced the results from the athletes.

Mr. Bonn also thanked the students who sacrificed to represent the University at the games for their hard work and discipline. He expressed the appreciation when he led a section of the Team PUCG to present the laurels to the management of the University.

The President of PUCG, Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Adow Obeng thanked the athletes for their sacrifices and discipline that ensured the sterling performance at the games. He assured them of Management’s support to make our athletes the best in the country at that level of participation.
