Presbyterian University, Ghana has once again proven its commitment to excellence and impactful contributions to higher education in Ghana. The National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) has adjudged Presbyterian University Ghana as the Private University of the Year during the 57th NUGS Awards Ceremony, a prestigious annual event celebrating excellence, leadership, and societal impact.
This remarkable recognition is a testament to the University’s exceptional contributions and unwavering dedication to academic excellence, innovative leadership, and societal transformation. The accolade acknowledges Presbyterian University Ghana’s pivotal role in shaping the academic and professional lives of students and its continued efforts in driving meaningful change within the educational sector and beyond.
The Awards Committee of NUGS commended the University for setting a remarkable example for others to emulate, stating, “This recognition is a testament to your exceptional contributions, commitment to excellence, and impactful work over the past year. Your achievements have significantly inspired the student body and stakeholders in various fields.”
The award was received on behalf of the University by Mr. Moses Amegbe, the Coordinator of the Tema Campus, during a memorable ceremony held on Saturday, 23rd November 2024, at the Accra College of Education.

In addition to the University’s recognition, Justice Tetteh Nartey, the SRC President of the Akuapem Campus, was also honoured as the Students Activist/Advocate of the Year for his outstanding leadership and advocacy on behalf of students.

Prof. John Ofosu-Anim, the Vice-Chancellor of Presbyterian University, Ghana expressed gratitude for the honour, stating, “This recognition is a reflection of our collective efforts as a University community to uphold the values of Excellence, Commitment, Discipline, Faith in God, Integrity and leadership. We dedicate this award to our hardworking Staff, Students, and Alumni who have consistently supported our vision.”
The ceremony brought together distinguished guests, government representatives, awardees, and members of the student body to celebrate remarkable achievements in education and leadership.
