The Presbyterian University College, Ghana has proven its mettle in academic excellence. The University scored 96.6 percent in the 2015 Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana licensing examination.
In the year 2011, the Presbyterian University College, Ghana (PUCG) was ranked 2nd best in the country by the Nurses and Midwives Council of Ghana (NMCG) among 100 institutions which sat for that year’s exam with 70 percent pass rate.
This year, the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences of the PUCG presented 89 students with 86 successfully passing the exams with 3 referrals.
The PUCG is a Christian University with the core objective to produce disciplined human resource with the commitment to train the head, the heart and the hands of its students with the capacity to transform societies.
The Presbyterian University College, Ghana, recently won the maiden edition of the Inter-Private University debate, beating Ashesi University College which won the Southern competition, at the finals on 20th May, 2015.
PUCG has five campuses across the country at Tema, Akropong Akuapem,Asante Akyem Agogo, Kumasi and the Okwahu campus, which is the main campus located at Abetifi Kwahu.
The University runs programmes in BSc. Nursing, BSc. Physician Assistantship, BSc. Agribusiness, BSc. Business Economics, BSc. Business Administration, BSc. ICT, BSc. Environmental and Natural Resources Management and B.A. Rural and Community Development.
The Tema campus of the Presbyterian University College, Ghana runs certificate programmes in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Adolescent Health and Development, Learning Management Systems, Graduate Certificate in Online Teaching, Strategic Leadership and Port and Shipping Management.
