Aim of the Programme:
This programme aims to produce management-level ICT manpower with technical and managerial competencies for ICT and non-ICT professionals to address ICT management-related problems in various sectors of the Ghanaian industry. Graduates can be employed as Data Analysts, Cybersecurity Experts, Database Administrators, Information Security Analysts, Information Management Experts, IT Analyst, Systems Analyst, Enterprise Applications Developers, Management Analyst, Application Architect, IT Director, etc.

The programme is intended to achieve three main objectives:
- Analytics Mastery:

The rapid advancement in Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) globally has led to an upsurge in their integration into businesses. In addition, ICTs serve as the mainstay of businesses with Millions of dollars being invested into various ICTs annually. With the enormous investments in ICTs, it has become increasingly important to maintain and manage these resources. There is therefore a national and global demand for ICT professionals with the technical and management knowledge in formulating and defining IT policy direction of businesses, driven towards meeting global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Digital Ghana Agenda to ensure the efficient and effective integration of people and ICT resources of a business.

The MSc. ICT Management programme is designed to educate and develop ICT managers who can effectively manage the planning, design, selection, implementation, use, and administration of emerging and converging information and communications technologies. The programme curriculum leverages on the potential of ICT to provide a platform for ICT professionals to advance and provide a bridge for non-ICT professionals typically graduates from business, humanities and social sciences to move into the ICT sphere. Duration of MSc programme:
The duration for completion of the MSc. ICT Management degree shall be one year involving two (2) semesters.
Stream: Regular/Weekend/Sandwich
Target group:
This programme is designed for Professionals in ICT, Business, Management and related areas who want to be ICT managers enabled with technical and management knowledge and skills to effectively manage the planning, design, selection, implementation, use, and administration of emerging and converging ICTs to support organizational strategic goals.
Entry Requirements into the MSc Programme:
An applicant may be admitted into the MSc. ICT Management Programme must have a good first degree in any major area of study preferably ICT, Business Administration or Management or its equivalent degree programmes.
A candidate seeking admission into this Master’s Degree programme must:
- have obtained a good first degree (at least a Second Class Lower Division) in any appropriate field of study from the Presbyterian University, Ghana or any accredited University; or
- have a Third Class degree in ICT or related programme. Such candidate would be admitted after passing an aptitude test and a selection interview.
Degree to be awarded:
On successful completion of the course, the degree of Master of Science (MSc) in Information and Communication Technology Management will be awarded.
