The 2nd Registrar of Presbyterian University College, Ghana (PUCG), Mary Abena Agyepong (Mrs.), has been inducted into office in an august ceremony held at the Ramseyer Chapel, Abetifi during the Congregation’s forenoon service.
Mrs. Mary Abena Agyepong succeeded Mr. Kwadwo Amo Osei who was appointed first Registrar of the Presbyterian University College, Ghana and served the University for 15 years. She assumed office in September 2018 upon her appointment by the University Council to become the 2nd Registrar of the University after retirement of Mr. Amo Osei.
Delivering the Sermon on the theme “Making Christ Known in Our Schools: The Working of God,” the President of PUCG, Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Adow Obeng, welcomed Mrs. Mary Agyepong to the University community. The President described her as a partner to PUCG who God has sent to help grow the institution.
Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Adow Obeng implored her to foster unity and work to erase all forms of factionalism in the working environment of the University. He wished her well on her position as the Registrar of the University trusting that God will help her to succeed.

In a short address, the Registrar, Mrs. Mary Abena Agyepong assured the President of PUCG that she will be mindful and keep her charge “to uphold the Christian tradition and character of PUCG, and to witness in my work to Jesus Christ, the only Savior and Lord and thus endeavour to bring those under your care to faith in Him.”
Again “subject in the Lord to the authority of the Council of PUCG and together with its Staff and advisors to cherish a spirit of loyal service and co-operation,” she added.
Mrs. Mary Agyepong thanked the Chancellor of PUCG who is also the Moderator of Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG), the University Council, Management of PUCG, Senior Members, Senior and Junior Staff, and junior members of the University for the love shown her saying that “it has given me a reason to stay and help grow this noble institution.”
The Registrar was supported in her induction by the Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church, Ghana – Most Rev. Dr. Paul K. Boafo, the Administrative Bishop of the Methodist Church, Ghana – Rt. Rev. Bossman, her husband – Nana Kwesi Agyemang and her four daughters, her siblings, Aburi Old Girls Association ‘85’ Group, GCB Bank, IT Consortium, TODA Investments and the Ramseyer Congregation of PCG, Abetifi Kwahu.
