The Chairman of the Governing Council of the Presbyterian University, Ghana (PUG), His Lordship Professor Emmanuel Nii Ashie Kotey has appealed to the government of Ghana, especially through the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund), to support private universities in their quest to provide quality education and world-class facilities for their students.

Prof. Ashie Kotey made this appeal at the 18th graduation ceremony of the PUG, held recently at the Ramseyer Training Center, Abeifi-Kwahu. He continued that with GETFund’s support, private universities and for that matter PUG can expand their infrastructure – laboratories, libraries, and research centers – to foster a better learning environment and promote high-level research output. His Lordship further pleaded with the prominent people of Kwahu, both in Ghana and in the diaspora, to support the mission of the University.

He noted that their support, whether through scholarships, infrastructure, or community engagement programmes, is vital to the continuous success of the University.
He urged the people of Kwahu to join in building a stronger and more impactful institution that will remain at the forefront of tertiary education in Ghana.
