The question of unjust suffering has bewildered Godly people since history of humanity. In this book, Exposure before Acceptance, the author explains that in the journey of life, challenges come and go, so do blessings. They either make you who God wants you to be or what Satan wants. God allows these challenges based on the strength of your faith in Him. You are full of immeasurable amount of potentials. You are called into the service of the Kingdom of God. But God must prepare you by equipping you for the task ahead. The dirty clay is never considered but the well formed pot.

LIFE’ as acronymed by a friend is: either Living by Fear Everyday or Living by Faith Everyday.  Through experiences with the grace of God, I have learnt that, we Christians do not live by chance but by certainties. Our Lord has purposed our lives to glorify HIMSELF.  As enshrined in Genesis 39 to 41, wherever we find ourselves, like Joseph, we should aim at excelling. Let us learn to leave the world to be a better place than we came to meet it.

The content of the book touched my heart to encourage me to live in God’s refinery – this world. In the end may He let me come forth as gold.

FOREWORD

I found it very delightful when Michael asked me to write the Foreword to this book. It is not always that authors would ask you to be part of their work. I therefore deem it as a singular honour to write the Foreword to the work ‘Exposure before Acceptance’. This book will certainly be one of the important books among Christian Literature.

The author is full time employee in the Audit Department of the Presbyterian University College, Ghana. Being the only two in a department that has to service all the auditing work of the four campuses in the College, it is refreshing to note that inspite of his busy schedule he has been able to produce this great work.

As the author said in the book ‘all things work for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28)’. It is not surprising that the Lord has empowered him to produce this book to advance the great commission. I congratulate him for his vision and foresight, that when he believed the word, he has not hidden it to himself but has come out in this manner to give hope to others that whatever the circumstances in our lives, the Lord will provide us with the means to become victorious.

Certainly, this book provides hope for Christians in an era where sections of the Christian community seem to give the impression that God’s children are always ‘safe’ and once you are a child of God, nothing evil will happen to you. This book brings us to the reality that God’s children suffer just like others since Christ our master went through even horrible suffering but in the end became a conqueror of evil. So problems will come to us, at home, the work place, or anywhere but in the end we shall be conquerors. Examples of calamities that befell some Christians and how the Lord delivered them out of these have been chronicled in the book and this will give encouragement and hope to readers to enable them to deepen their faith in God.

Though this book is meant for the general readership, it will also be an asset to the staff and students of the Presbyterian University College as a valuable Christian literature. In addition to imparting academic knowledge to our students we also seek to develop an all round personality who must have good moral character and the knowledge of God to give meaning to our motto ‘Discipline in Leadership’. In this regard this book coming from the backyard of the College would greatly influence the Christian lives of the College Community.

May God bless Michael to produce more materials for the work in His vineyard. May the lives of all who use this book be enriched and be fruitful.
