The University Community wishes to congratulate Mr. Bernard Owusu on his election as Chairman of the Trades Union Congress (TUC) and the National Chairman of the General Petroleum, Transportation and Chemical Workers Union.
Mr. Owusu is among students to graduate on November 9, 2024 from the School of Business, Tema Campus. He has over two decades of experience in the oil and gas sector, and his journey exemplifies the power of perseverance, continuous learning, and principled leadership adapted from the University’s core values.
Mr. Bernard Owusu has chaired and served on many National Union groups/organizations including; Board Member of the National Petroleum Authority, Chairman of the License and Technical Committee and Member of the Audit Committee, National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Chairman of the BOST Local Union (2004-2016) among others.
His commitment to Mentorship, strong communication skills, strategic thinking and ability to navigate complex challenges are the phenomenal leadership skills that he exhibits throughout his career journey.
