The Chaplaincy Centre of the Presbyterian University College, Ghana (PUCG), Okwahu Campus has donated some essential items to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of the Atibie Government Hospital.
The Chaplain of PUCG, Rev. Dr. E. Y. Blasu led a team of staff and students to donate the items to the NICU. The team was taken round the facility by the supervising staff at the hospital to help the visitors familiarize themselves with what the Unit does, the cases under treatment and how best the University can continue to support the Unit.
The Chaplain, touched by the situation at the centre requested the Unit to furnish the University with some of the urgent and essential items needed so that the Chaplaincy Centre on behalf of the University will mobilize the resources for the Unit.
Rev. Mrs. Afia Bann, a tutor at the Ramseyer Training Centre who joined the Team to the Hospital offered prayers to God for the babies on admission, their parents and the staff at NICU.
The Chaplain of PUCG, Rev. Dr. E. Y. Blasu led the Team to donate the following items to the Unit: washing powder, baby foods, babies’ clothes, wipes, diapers, among others.
The Unit was grateful to the University and promised to forward the items needed to the Chaplaincy Centre for support.
