The Chaplaincy and Life Values Promotion Centre of the Presbyterian University College, Ghana brought to light the 9th Carols Services at the Ramseyer Church, Kwahu Abetifi.
This service is organized annually to remind us of the significance of the birth of Christ and also to bring us together as family once again.
This year’s Carols service was outstanding with scintillating songs from the Evergreen ABETICOE Choir, with lively performances from the International Students Association Choir, NUPSG Choir, Voices of Victory, and stimulating songs from Divine Generation, notwithstanding a witty performance from the PUCG Staff Choir.
The audience could not hold their excitement as they express their joy and appreciation to the Almighty God through dancing and singing creating an ecstatic atmosphere.
Rev. Prof Emmanuel Adow Obeng, the President of the University, in his exhortation said the unfolding events in the world are frightening but we should not be afraid because of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. “The birth of Christ banishes all fears” he emphasized.
Emphasizing the supremacy of God, the President charged the audience to resolve and break through new grounds, face the future with determination to build a strong prosperous PUCG and Ghana as a country.
“In your own small way touch a life, with a kind gesture as that is the essence of the season”, the President admonished the audience but cautioned the students “Cheating in examinations is against the spirit of Christmas”.
The President thanked the gathering for their participation, support and contribution toward the organization and success of the Carol’s Night.
He encouraged the University community to step up the work of success and not withhold anything that will help PUCG become visible and a world acclaimed University of excellence.
