The Presbyterian University College, Ghana has organized a two-day Training Workshop for the Administrative Staff of both the Tema and Akuapem Campuses.
The series of Training Workshops which are been carried out by the Staff Development and Training Unit are in line with the University’s Policy to provide its staff with the requisite skills for effective and efficient execution of our institutional mandate.
The workshop was held at the Akuapem Campus from Wednesday 3rd to Thursday 4th November, 2015 for fifteen participants drawn from the Tema and Akuapem Campuses.
The workshop discussed the topics including: the Changing Trends in Office Management, Duties and Responsibilities of Administrative Staff, Dealing with Different People, Living the PUCG Corporate Values and Ethics, and Managing Bosses.
The Facilitator of the workshop, Dr. E. O. Agyenim Boateng, who is the Deputy Registrar of the University, expressed his optimism that the training workshop would result improved administrative services for the University considering the response of the administrative staff to the training workshop.
An initial evaluation indicates participants acknowledge the Staff Training and Development Policy of the University as important and critical in building the PUCG into world-acclaimed status that University.
Participants also disclosed that the workshop has given them a better understanding of the Vision and Mission of the University and what is required of them as administrative staff while pledging to work harder to lift the image of the University and give it the expected visibility.
